A German extremely rare gilt-brass octagonal Renaissance verge watch, probably from Augsburg Germany, circa 1590. Full plate fire gilt movement, circa 1730, pierced and engraved balance cock, signed Fischer Augsburg
The octagonal case back of this watch is pierced and engraved and originally there was a bell inside. The front cover is pierced so you can see the hand without opening. The bezel with the initials HRG
Silver dial with Roman hour numerals from one to twelve and a decorative gilt hand.
