FA Pilgrim was Kinzing’s son-in-law and worked in his workshop. He was married to Margaretha Kinzing. Their eldest son Christian Peter August W. Pilgrim was born on March 27, 1790, in Neuwied. On March 29, 1790, Christening witnesses were the child’s father and wife of “Mechanicus Peter Kinzing”. This son later became a watchmaker and optician like his father. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only known Pilgrim pocket watch, an absolute rarity.
