Gold open faced watch with Jacquemarts

A fine German quarter repeating 18 Carat gold automaton pocket watch with two jacquemarts, circa 1810. Gilt full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance with flat balance spring, pierced and chased continental balance cock, repeating on two gongs by depressing the pendant. Polished case back, reeded band, spring loaded gilt metal cuvette.
Small, white enamel dial, Arabic numerals and outer minute divisions, chased vari coloured gold figures of Mercury and Ceres flanking the dial, appearing to strike the hours and quarters on two bells, a basket of flowers below, on a blue enamel ground with gold painted foliate border. Gold Breguet hands. Cuvette signed.
