A German silver pair cased quarter repeating verge clock watch, circa 1730. The watch features a gilded full plate movement with a verge escapement, a pierced and engraved balance cock, and a ruby endstone, and is signed by Conrad Reicheneder of Braunau. It has a silver champlevé dial with Roman numerals, half hour divisions, Arabic outer five minute markings, decorative gilt hands, and Reicheneder’s signature. The watch has two cases: a silver inner case that is pierced and engraved, and an outer case that is pierced, chased and engraved with decorative strapwork depicting birds and a pierced bezel.

The movement is operational. The dial shows tarnish and has scuffs throughout, with later-added hands. The inner case band has dents and scuffs throughout. The outer case has significant tarnishing and damage to the pierced decoration.
