Johann Heckel was born in Friedberg in 1673 and became a master in 1720. He died in 1743.
He also produced watches under the name “Lekceh – London”. With the reverse spelling of the family name and the place of origin in London , the Friedberger probably wanted to increase the market value of his product. Johann Heckel was one of the most important Friedberg watchmakers.
Works by Johann Heckel can be found in the British Museum in London , in the Historical Museum in Basel and in the Friedberg Municipal Museum .

Signed: Lekceh, London
