A German quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1800. Gilt full plate verge movement with bell, silvered regulation disc, pierced and engraved balance cock with three-arm balance.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals and outer five-minute divisions, gilt ‘star’ hands, dial signed G.Ch. Hiltel, Regensburg. Engine-turned silver case with pierced sides, repeat activated via the crown, together with a later gilt metal foliate engraved case. Dial and movement signed.
