A rare silver open faced key wind gentleman’s pocket watch from Dresden with regulator dial and calendar, circa 1800.
Gilt florally engraved full plate movement, solid movement pillars, cylinder escapement, oversized five armed brass balance, and signed balance cock. White enamel dial, eccentric chapter ring with Roman hours, centre seconds, chapter rings for indication of the date and weekday, polychrome flower decoration, and filigree hands. Polished silver case with case maker’s punch mark WX and a large lateral hinge.
