A large French gilt and stone set key wind pocket watch with enamel portrait miniature by Meuron à Paris, circa 1790. Gilt full plate fusee verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, silver regulation. White enamel dial, Roman numerals to a red chapter ring, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 2 and stone set elaborate hands. Open face consular case with portrait miniature of a young girl to the back set within an elaborate stone set border, blue enamel with foliate decoration with further stone set bezels. Dial and movement signed, case stamped ‘Leton’.
