A Swiss silver open faced pocket watch with rare escapement, circa 1810. Gilt brass movement, the plate partly skeletonized to display the escapement, engraved decoration to the going barrel, experimental lever/pin wheel escapement, plain three arm balance and short four coil blued steel balance spring. White enamel dial bearing the signature ‘Breguet et Fils’, Breguet numerals. Polished case with reeded band.
