A French gold and enamel open faced verge watch, circa 1790. Gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. White enamel dial and Breguet numerals. Polychrome enamel scene to the case back depicting three classical muses with a translucent blue enamel sky on an engine turned ground, two colour gold applied decoration to the bezel.
