A Swiss gold, diamond and enamel beetle form pendent watch, circa 1890. Cylinder movement. White enamel dial, Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute track. Gold scarab beetle form case, hinged wings with translucent red enamel over an engine turned background, decorated with stars inset with diamonds, chased head with emerald set eyes, the reverse the case realistically chiselled.
