A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set watch in Egyptian motif, circa 1890. Retailed by W.W. Wattkes & Sons, Pittsburgh, PA. Jeweled nickel lever movement, signed and numbered gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals and fine gold hands. Case with red to yellow translucent enamel over engine turned ground in a sun set design which continues onto the bezel, palm trees and applied gold sphinx in the foreground on a diamond set plinth. Case, dial and movement signed. Comes with an Extract from the Archives confirming the date of sale to be May 31st 1898.
