An English gold keyless wind chronometer pocket watch by Arnold and Lewis, Late Simmons, 7 St Anns Square, Manchester, London hallmark for 1872. Gilt 3/4 plate chronometer movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, helical balance spring, No. 2990. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, black outer 1/2 second divisions, gilt spade hands and blued steel centre seconds. 18 Carat open face case, round hinged with cartouche to back, presentation inscription to interior, No. 2990. Case stamped ‘CG’, dial and movement signed. With Fitted Arnold and Lewis box.
