English gold, agate, diamond set pair cased verge Circa 1750

An English gold, agate and diamond set key wind repeating pocket watch by John Champion, London, circa 1750. Full plate gilt verge movement, fusee, pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered regulation, baluster pillars, two hammers repeating on the bell in the case. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic numeral minutes, blued steel beetle and poker hands. Pair-cased, pierced, and engraved inner, pierced and engraved outer case mounted with bloodstone panels set with diamonds depicting flowers, plunge repeat stirrup form pendant. Case stamped HT, dust cap and movement signed.
