A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced split seconds chronograph keyless lever watch with Guillaume balance, circa 1915. Retailed by Junod Frères, Lausanne. Nickel finished fully jewelled lever movement, Guillaume balance, micrometer regulator. Gold cuvette with engraved inscription En souvenir de nos 25 ans de mariage 1890 6/12 1915 Mutzi and Chronomètre No. 15834 Bulletin 1ère Classe Observatoire Astronomique Neuchâtel. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer tachymetre scale, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and constant seconds. Plain case with inlaid polychrome enamel coat of arms to the reverse, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through a button in the band and through the crown. Case and movement signed by maker, cuvette and dial signed by maker and retailer. Comes with a Bulletin d’Observatoire and the original wooden box.
