A large English 18 carat gold half hunting cased freesprung lever, Hallmarked Chester 1896. Gilt 3/4 plate keyless movement with going barrel, plain cock, compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring, English table roller lever escapement, crewed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Gold cuvette. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with Roman numerals, centre seconds, blue steel seconds hand and gilt hands. Substantial plain case with blue enamel chapter ring, small gold slide in the band to stop the watch by acting on the balance. Maker’s mark T.R. in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
