Gold and pearl set quarter repeating cylinder watch

A Swiss pearl encrusted gold open faced quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch, circa 1840. Skeletonized 3/4 plate gilt keywind movement, suspended going barrel with polished steel stopwork, plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three armed gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel, push pendant quarter repeating on two rectangular section polished steel gongs. Gold engine turned dial with Roman numerals and gold hands. Fine case, bezels set with a row of large split pearls, the back encrusted with graduated split pearls in a geometric pattern, background of the design filled with many hundreds of tiny split pearls entirely covering the back. Trefoil bow, wound and set through the gold cuvette. Pearl set key and short gold chain.
