An astronomical pocket watch of the greatest rarity, with a 24-hour dial, circa 1890.
Swiss anchor chronometer movement with a particularly large gold screw balance and compensating lever. Enamel dial with Arabic radial 24-hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, gold hands, a small 12-hour scale at three with Roman numerals, at nine a date and day of the week display, and at six a display of the seconds, the moon phase and the age of the moon. Plain 18K gold case with various small pressure marks and dust cover with engraved dedication.
