An English gold and porcelain open faced rococo verge pocket watch, circa 1750. Gilt full plate movement with verge escapement, a plain flat three arm balance, decoratively pierced balance cock engraved with scrolling flowers and a silver regulation disc. The front bezel is of polychrome painted porcelain showing a landscape, the porcelain case back with a polychrome painted scene depicting three putti at a waterfall, the opening button and pendant are set with large diamonds, the case has various hairline cracks. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and probably original hands. Movement signed and numbered.
