Ericsson
August Ericsson (1842 – 1915) was a respected Swedish watchmaker and dealer based in St. Petersburg from 1865 onwards. Ericsson used only the highest quality movements such as Ulysse Nardin, IWC, Longines and even Patek Philippe and Victor Kullberg for his pocket watches and marine chronometers. He supplied watches to the Tsar’s family and the Russian navy, among others. Ericsson died in 1915.

August’s son, Alexander Ericsson (born in St. Petersburg in 1872), took over the business and succeeded his father as chronometer master in 1908.
The company continued operating until the Russian Revolution dismantled the private luxury watch trade around 1917.
