A French gold, enamel and pearl set quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1790. Gilt cylinder movement, repeating on a bell built into the movement plates. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals and gold serpentine hands. The back polychrome enameled with figures of a lady and a gentleman in a landscape against translucent blue enamel over engine turning, enamel scene with restoration, pearl set borders, with glazed protective outer case. Dial and movement signed.
