A French gilt metal and enamel open faced pocket watch, circa 1800. Gilt full plate movement, cylinder escapement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Case back with polychrome enamel scene of an embracing couple within a landscape, shield border with floral motif on a blue enamel ground, bezels set with foil backed paste stones, later gilt metal outer case with glazed cover to the rear. Case stamped Leton.
