Minute repeating watches from Patek Philippe are prized by collectors for the chiming of the hours, perhaps the favorite technical complication in today’s market. The present example combines this mechanism with a highly decorative Murat style case in the Art Deco style. The presentation engraving and monogram, which is confirmed on the Extract from the Archives, suggests that it was likely made as a special request from the Chicago-based client, William Rogers Bennett.
