A Swiss gold, enamel and pearl set quarter repeating hunting cased ladies watch, circa 1890. Made for the Chinese market. Nickel lever movement, jeweled to the center. Signed gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track, blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds. The 18 carat gold case with polychrome enamel to the covers, the front depicting a female portrait, the rear with a courting couple within a garden of roses, translucent green enamel borders over engine turned ground, both bezels set with pearls. Dial and cuvette signed J. Ullmann & Cie, Hong-Kong, Shanghai, Tientsin.
