A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced split second chronograph pocket watch , circa 1899. Retailed by Tilden, Thurber & Co, Providence. Jeweled nickel lever movement. 18 Carat gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minute register. Band set with split pusher and lock, hinged case back. Case and dial signed by maker, cuvette and movement signed by maker and retailer. With an Extract from the Archives confirming sale on December 3rd, 1900.
