An elegant French 18 carat gold and enamel pendant watch accompanied by a gilt metal chatelaine with two hardstone set keys and two seals made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1770. A Louis XV case with a beaded bezel, the back decorated with a band of translucent green guilloché enamel, the center and border feature chased gold foliage set with seed pearls and cabochon green stones, a further outer border decorated to match the bezel. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals and gold Louis XV hands. Hinged frosted gilt full plate movement with conical pillars, fusee and chain, a verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three arm brass balance with a blued steel flat balance spring, an index regulator with a silver scale, a continental type foliate pierced cock and polished steel endplate. Dial and movement signed.
