A rare and unusual Swiss 18 Carat gold hunting cased keyless lever watch with perpetual calendar and retrograde date, circa 1890. Bridge movement with glazed cover, club tooth lever escapement, gold screw cut bimetallic compensation balance.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer railway minute divisions, arch shaped retrograde date indication, one aperture for the day, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and month.
Both covers with an engine-turned pattern and the front cover is engraved with a monogram with enamel inlay.

Movement and the case of this beautiful gold hunting cased pocket watch with its finely engine-turned pattern are in excellent condition. The dial has a retrograde date display, an oval window for the day of the week and a sub dial at 4 o’clock to show the months.
