A large Swiss gilt metal and translucent enamel keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. Red translucent enamel over guilloché engine turning case back with a scene showing a beautiful, shapely, naked woman standing and looking into a hand mirror. Unless she is looking this way at a potential lover who will take her to heaven, into that strange scarlet sky! Egg shell colour enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 and gilded metal Louis XV hands. A gilt brass movement, going barrel, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with gold poising screws and blued steel flat hairspring, polished steel index regulator.
