A fine and rare Swiss, 18K pink gold hunting cased, double-dialled, keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. With moon phases, a double date calendar and a special gravitational locking device for the covers. Attributed to B. Haas Jne & Cie, Genève – Paris.

An engine-turned case with polished borders, the front cover with an engraved foliate monogram “GE”. White enamel dial on the front with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, and large inner moon phase aperture with a lunar calendar on the edge. Gold stone-set arrow hands. Annular white enamel rear dial with black Arabic chapter on the border for the dates, inner days of the week, and the centre exposing the movement. A nickel-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, a Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator.
