A very fine and very rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold half hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1875. A polished case, entirely foliate engraved, sprung and hinged front cover with glazed aperture, blue champleve enamel radial Roman numerals, inner minute track, back cover with monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel spade hands. Matte gilt movement, 15 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case and cuvette signed, numbered on case and cuvette.
