Gold anker chronometer quality pocket watch

A numbered, high quality chronograph with 30 minute counter made by Longines in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, circa 1890. This open faced watch is crafted from 18 carat gold, has the monogram MC on the back and the cuvette is engraved with ten medals and Chronographe – Grand Prix, Paris, 1889. The white enamel dial has black Roman hours, an outer minute track with red Arabic five minute numerals, an outermost fifth of a second track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute counter at 12, a chronograph hand and blued steel spade hands. The rare and extremely fine chronograph caliber in anchor chronometer quality has a special fine adjustment.
Dial, cuvette and movement are signed.
