Very fine pocket watch with Piguet caliber
–
A very fine minute repeating pocket watch made for C. Ross Boas in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, by B. Haas Jeune & Haas Neveux & Cie. in Genéve, Switzerland, circa 1905. The numbered open faced case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat gold and its white enamel dial has Arabic gold five minute and black hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XIV hands. The numbered, presumably Piguet, movement has a lever escapement, Geneva striping decoration, a fine adjustment, 27 jewels and a minute repeater.
Case and movement have matching numbers and the dial and movement are signed.
