An impressive gold full hunter cased watch with automaton and minute repeater, made by Beaumont in Switzerland, circa 1890. The three lids of the numbered case of this watch are all crafted from 18 carat gold, both the front and the back are engine turned and the former has an empty cartouche in the center. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a gold Jacquemart figure automaton featuring two knights striking a bell and blued steel hands. The movement is fitted with a precision lever escapement and a minute repeater.
The movement is signed.
