A very fine and elegant Swiss, keyless, 18K yellow gold dress watch with a two-tone dial, circa 1940. Sold on July 12, 1940. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
A solid, polished case, stepped bezel. Two-tone silver dial with applied yellow gold baton indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold feuille hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swanneck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. From the Collection of a Spanish Gentleman.
