A gentleman’s fine Geneva pocket watch delivered to Spaulding & Co., Chicago, circa 1891.
18 carat gold, engine-turned, à goutte case with push back and gold dome with dedication engraving: “John A. Gamble from his Mother July 29, 1891”. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, red 24h and seconds and gold Louis XVI hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, with “fausses côtes” decoration, adjusted, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, cam type fine adjusting device and counterpoised lever.
