A very fine, extremely rare Geneva minute repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with Patek Philippe extract from the archives, circa 1891. Made Expressly For Spaulding & Co., Paris and sold on 10/18/1892.
18-carat rose gold polished case, case design “Bassine à goutte”, with signed gold dome and slide for repeating mechanism. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. Rhodium-plated bridge movement with “Geneva striping” decoration, two hammers / two gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
