Gold repeating lever pocket watch

A very fine and very rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold, minute repeating, a keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and register, circa 1924. sold on July 1st, 1932. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. A solid, polished case, curved rectangular pusher on the band for the split-seconds function, locking bolt at 11 o’clock. Hinged gold cuvette. Brushed silver dial with applied yellow gold Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds track with Arabic 5-minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register.

Yellow gold Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 40 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
