A very fine Swiss, 18 Carat yellow gold keyless pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1890. A polished case, co axial chronograph button in the crown for the stop/start and return-to-zero function of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of second divisions with Arabic five minute/seconds numerals. Blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, geneva striping decoration, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot’s patented cam regulator, visible chronograph work. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
