Gold watch with triple date, moon phase and lunar calendar

A very fine and very rare Swiss 18 Carat gold hunting cased, astronomical, keyless minute repeating pocket watch, circa 1883. With triple date, moon phase and lunar calendar. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Engine turned, polished borders, the front cover with a central cartouche engraved with a crest and the motto Pro Rege et Grege.

Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months and subsidiary seconds with inner red date ring, moon phase aperture with a lunar calendar on the border. Blued steel spade hands. Nickel plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised and calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
