A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with blue enamel and diamonds, circa 1895. Fleur de Lys by Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève. Made especially for JJ Freeman, Toledo, Ohio. A solid case, bassine, hinged bezel, back and cuvette, bezel decorated with engraved floral pattern on a blue enamel background, back decorated with blue enamel and floral pattern centred by a diamond-set Fleur de Lys. White enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Gold Louis XV hands.
A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
