Gold watch with deeply engraved case

A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold hunting cased, trip quarter repeating, two-train, keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. An entirely finely and deeply engraved case with scrolls and foliage, a button at 2 for the trip-repeat and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and gold arrow hands each set with a faceted stone. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, tandem winding, 31 jewels, counterpoised and calibrated straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance springs, index regulator, repeating the hours and quarter hours with two hammers on two gongs activated by depressing the button on the band. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
