A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1875. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold heart shaped hands. The timepiece is housed in an 18 carat yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover is adorned with an engine turned pattern of radiating concentric waves around a central vacant circular cartouche. The caseband is chased with scrolling foliage relief details. The watch is completed by a heavily engraved fluted winding crown and a matching ornate suspension bow.
