A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold garnet set keyless lady’s pendant watch with detachable chatelaine en suite, circa 1890. A solid, Louis XV polished case, the back set with a large round garnet cabochon and a hinged gold cuvette. Matching heavy gold chatelaine set with a matching large oval garnet cabochon. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions, large gilt Arabic five-minute numerals and gold Louis XV hands. A gilt brass movement, eight jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
