Hunting cased pocket watch with coins made by Attilio Silvio Motti

An Unusual Swiss coin watch, a 100 lira commemorative coin on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the Fascist government in the Kingdom of Italy, circa 1923.
The front shows a profile portrait of Italian king Vittorio Emanuele III (1869-1947); the coin is inscribed with “Vittorio Emanuele III Re. d’Italia” and signed “A. Motti”. The back bears the fasces with ram’s head, the date “Ottobre 1922 – 1923” and the value of the coin, 100 lira.
18 carat gold case with a reeded band and with a chased front and back side; silvered dial, signed “Swiss” with Roman numerals and Breguet hands; bridge movement and a gold screw compensation balance.

Attilio Silvio Motti (born 1867 in Alexandria, died 1935 in Rome) was a sculptor, engraver, medalist and watercolour painter.
He graduated from the academy of fine arts in Nice and in 1913 he was appointed head engraver at the royal mint. Before 1935 Motti designer a large number of coins and medallions and taught at the college of art.
