A fine and rare Swiss, unusual, 18K rose gold hunting cased, a double-dialled pocket watch with day and date calendar, circa 1890. Made for the American market. A massive case, spring-loaded front cover, White enamel dial on the front with radial Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. On the rear, white enamel Arabic chapter ring for the date and days of the week. A nickel-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Case and movement numbered.
