A gentleman’s decorative, very fine double faced pocket watch and original certificate for the south American market, circa 1888.
18k Gold case, engine turned bezels,engine turned band, à goutte.
Dial is silvered, florally engraved, applied floral gold ornaments, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, signed, blued spade hands, outer ring for date indication, subsidiary dials for day and month indication, aperture for moon phase with cobalt blue enamelled moon phase disc with inlaid golden moon and stars, blued hands. Bridge movement, rhodium plated, “fausses cotes” decoration, signed, gold screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever.
