Silver eight day going pocket watch

A rare Swiss silver eight day center seconds hunting cased pocket watch with calendar and visible balance, circa 1912. A keyless winding, full hunter with two horological complications: Date of the month (subsidiary dial at 12 o’clock) and Day of the week (subsidiary dial at 6 o’clock; indications given in English). An engine turned cover and case back; the cover with in the center, an escutcheon inside a belt design.

Eccentric white enamel dial with, in a chapter, radial Roman numerals inside a blue cartouche; blued steel Pear hands. Nickel plated movement, inverted calibre, extra-large going barrel on the back, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator. Barrel stamped with technical specifications and awards (Geneva 1896, Paris 1900, Chicago 1902, Milan 1906, Brussels 1910). The dial and movement are signed.
