An exquisite and very fine Swiss 18 Carat gold and enamel hunting cased lever pocket watch, circa 1840. Extravagant, for the time very fine precision movement with special lever, key winding, gold balance and temperature compensation. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds and solid pink gold arrow shaped hands. The case with a polychrome enamel scene on both sides, the front with a figure painting, a landscape with a river and fisherman on the back, the paintings framed with cobalt blue enamel and gold tendrils and birds, reeded band.
