Geneva gold enamel hunting cased pocket by Patek Philippe & Co.

An exquisite and small Geneva gold enamel hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1871. Sold on November 17th, 1871 – with a duplicate of the Patek Philippe extract from the archives.
The delicate case is decorated with fine polychrome enamelling, floral engraving and small old European cut diamonds. The front shows an enamel plaque with two very finely painted putti framed by a flower scroll. Central high oval black medallion decorated with diamonds and a cartouche in the middle. The back has a garland of summer flowers on a light blue ground with a black medallion with an engraved centre in the middle.
Polished 18-carat gold case with a signed gold dome. White enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and spade hands. And bridge movement with gold screw compensation balance.
