An excellent Swiss 18 carat gold five minute repeating keyless pocket watch by Tiffany & Co in New York, U.S.A., circa 1897. Sold on June 11th, 1898. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives. This watch has a white enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands. The plain case has an engraved monogram on the reverse. The bridge movement by Patek Philippe is fitted with a lever escapement, two hammers, two gongs and a gold screw compensation balance.
